Dead Design 1:48 Ki-43 I Hayabusa is a set of self-adhesive die-cut masks for the glazing of the cockpit and the wheel discs. It will speed masking up and make the edges of the frames more accurate.
Responsibility details are not available.
A set of precisely die-cut self-adhesive masks in 1:48 scale from the manufacturer Dead Design for the first production version of the Japanese Nakajima Ki-43 Hayabusa fighter aircraft, known to the Allies under the code name Oscar. It is neither a kit nor a resin accessory but an aid for painting: the masks cover the glazing of the cockpit and the wheel discs, that is the places where masking by hand takes the most time.
The early versions of the Ki-43 have a long, divided canopy with a great many narrow frames. Cutting them out of masking tape by hand is slow, and a small slip of the knife is enough for the line to be unevenly wide. The finished masks are peeled off the backing, laid on and pressed down; the film is thin and pliable, so it fits curved surfaces well too. The frames then come out sharp and even, which is visible on a finished model at first glance.
For modelers who are building the Ki-43 of the first version in 1:48 scale and want cleanly sprayed frames without hours of cutting by hand. The masks are die-cut to a particular kit in this scale, so verify the compatibility with your own kit beforehand.
The set holds no paints, glue or kit.
