Dead Design 1:48 Ki-43 III Hayabusa is a set of self-adhesive die-cut masks for the glazing of the cockpit and the wheel discs of the late version of this fighter aircraft.
Responsibility details are not available.
A set of precisely die-cut self-adhesive masks in 1:48 scale from the manufacturer Dead Design, intended for the late version of the Japanese Nakajima Ki-43 Hayabusa fighter aircraft, known to the Allies under the code name Oscar. It is neither a kit nor a resin accessory but an aid for painting: the masks cover the glazing of the cockpit and the wheel discs.
Masking the glazing is the slowest part of a whole build in the small scales. Cutting tape by hand can easily take an evening of work, and the knife only has to run elsewhere for a frame to be unevenly wide. The finished masks are simply peeled off the carrier sheet and laid on the right place; the film is thin and pliable, so it adapts to a curved canopy as well. The result is clean, with sharp edges and no paint running under.
For modelers building the late version of the Ki-43 in 1:48 scale who want to save time and have the cockpit frames really clean. The masks are die-cut to a particular kit in this scale, so before buying, verify that they match yours.
The set holds no paints, glue or kit.
