A set of resin ammunition boxes for the King Tiger in 1:48 scale from Black Dog model.
Responsibility details are not available.
An accessory set in 1:48 scale from Black Dog model. Its contents are ammunition boxes tied to the King Tiger heavy tank. It is not a kit or a part of the vehicle, but accessories with which a finished model, a scene of loading ammunition or a diorama base is completed.
The King Tiger, that is the Tiger II, was the heaviest German tank put into service in the Second World War. Its main weapon was a long 8.8 cm gun, whose rounds were so bulky and heavy that carrying and replenishing them was a constant worry for crews and supply units alike. Ammunition boxes and stacks of them are therefore among the typical features of period photographs by vehicles in the rear as well as at firing positions.
Wash the resin parts in warm soapy water, so that a primer holds on them. Cut the casting blocks off and level the surfaces, protecting your airways while sanding. The boxes come out when you paint them differently from the vehicle and run a dry brush along their edges. Wooden surfaces are brought to life well with a dark wash into the joints, and metal parts with a fine rub of graphite or metallic pigment.
The set is an accessory, not a model of the vehicle. The set is intended for completing a finished model; obtain the aids separately.
