The Kübelwagen photo-etched set, 1:48 (Hauler) is a photo-etched detail accessory for models of the VW Kübelwagen light vehicle. It adds thin metal parts over and above the plastic kit. It is not a model. The set is intended for the Tamiya kit.

A photo-etched detail set from the Czech maker Hauler in 1:48 scale. It is not a kit but an accessory in thin sheet metal, intended for models of the German VW Type 82 Kübelwagen light cross-country vehicle. It adds the small items that cannot be cast faithfully in plastic. It is based on the dimensions of the Tamiya kit.
The Kübelwagen has a number of fine details on the body and the equipment whose plastic version looks thick. The photo-etched replacement is thinner by an order of magnitude and markedly raises the realism of the model when seen close up.
Separate the parts from the fret with a sharp knife on a firm surface, and make the bends in a bender or between two metal rulers. It is bonded with super glue (cyanoacrylate). Degrease the sheet metal before painting and apply a primer, or the paint will not hold.
This is a detail accessory, not a model in its own right. The Tamiya base kit, glue and paints are not included in the package.
