An accessory set from the Quickboost range in 1:48 scale with the underwing pylons of the L-39C Albatros trainer.
Responsibility details are not available.
The Aero L-39 Albatros is a Czechoslovak jet trainer that became one of the most widespread aircraft of its kind. It flew with dozens of operators around the world, served for basic and advanced training, and a number of airframes are still in service today with civilian owners. The L-39C version is the basic training configuration. The pylons under its wings carry drop tanks or light stores, so the aircraft's silhouette changes noticeably with the task.
Accessory parts for the pylons under the wings, for a model in 1:48 scale, from the Quickboost range. It is an add-on for a kit; you cannot build a model from the set on its own. The number of parts and the kit they are cut for are given in the manufacturer's instructions.
Ordinary plastic model cement holds only on polystyrene; on other materials use super glue. Cut away excess material and traces of manufacture with a sharp blade a little away from the part and sand the remainder, and wash and degrease the parts before painting. Mark out the position of the pylons from the instructions before gluing and measure both wings, so that the pylons sit at the same distance from the fuselage and point parallel to the aircraft's longitudinal axis. Any asymmetry is obvious at first glance on a finished model. Apply the paint before you glue the pylons on; the transitions are then easier to finish.
Paints, glue and modeling tools are not included in the delivery, unless stated otherwise.
