A resin detail set in 1:48 scale from the Czech maker CMK. It holds equipment for Air Sea Rescue service for models of the Westland Lysander liaison and reconnaissance aircraft. It usually includes carriers under the fuselage and underslung containers with inflatable life rafts, which the Lysander dropped to survivors in the water. It is not a kit of the aircraft, but an accessory that sharpens up the basic model.
The Westland Lysander was a British liaison and observation aircraft with outstanding takeoff and landing qualities. Besides cooperating with ground units and dropping agents, it also served in versions for rescue at sea, when it carried containers with life rafts and equipment for the survivors of downed crews.
Wash the resin parts free of mold release agent, separate them from the casting blocks and clean them up. Glue with cyanoacrylate glue (super glue). You will bring the life rafts and the containers to life with contrasting shades (yellow, orange) against the camouflaged underside of the aircraft; wear can be suggested with fine washes and chipped paint. Wear respiratory protection while sanding.
The accessory is supplied unassembled and unpainted. The basic kit, the glue and the paints are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
