About product

Aires M-60 7.62 mm machine gun, 1:48

This is an Aires resin detail set, not a model. The set contains accurate castings of the American M-60 7.62 mm machine gun. It serves as accessory equipment for models, for example for figures, vehicles, helicopters or dioramas in 1:48 scale.

The real subject

The M-60 is an American 7.62 mm machine gun introduced in the second half of the twentieth century and used in a number of conflicts. It was employed as an infantry weapon and as onboard armament on vehicles and helicopters. It is a historical and technical subject.

Building and painting tips

Wash the parts to remove the mold release agent, cut off the casting blocks carefully and sand the fine parts with your airways protected. Bond with super glue (cyanoacrylate). Metallic shades and a fine wash bring out the structure of the barrel and the mechanism.

Who the set is for

  • Advanced modelers adding equipment in 1:48 scale
  • Builders of dioramas with figures and vehicles
  • Anyone who wants accurate accessory armament
  • Collectors of Aires resin accessories

The accessory equipment is supplied unassembled and unpainted. The base model, glue, paints and further accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
