A resin detail set, not an airplane model. The set brings a faithfully cast Martin-Baker GQ-7A ejection seat with safety belts, harness and firing handles. The seat is intended for kits of the F-104G Starfighter fighter in 1:48 scale and replaces the simplified plastic part with convincing scale detail.
The Martin-Baker GQ-7A was a British ejection seat fitted to upgraded Starfighters of the F-104G version. It replaced the earlier seat of the original American type and improved the pilot's chances of escape at low altitude. The F-104G was the most widespread version of the Starfighter and served with a number of European and other air forces.
First wash the parts in lukewarm soapy water and rid them of mold release residue. Cut the casting blocks off carefully with a saw and level the surfaces; wear a respirator when sanding resin, as the dust is harmful. They are bonded with super glue (cyanoacrylate), not with ordinary cement for plastic. Lay down a base primer before painting.
This is a detail accessory, not a model. The base kit, paints and glue are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
