This is not a model of an aircraft but a set of colored 3D decals on decal paper for a detailed rendering of the cockpit interior of the early version. They are raised, fully colored details printed on a backing paper which, after a brief soak, slide into place: the instrument panel, the side consoles and the controls take on a three-dimensional, faithful look without laborious painting. This is the smaller (basic) variant of the set, aimed at the main cockpit panels. The set is intended for Macchi C.202 Folgore models in the early version in 1:48 scale. The set is designed for the Hasegawa and Eduard kits.

The real subject

The Macchi C.202 Folgore was one of the best Italian fighters of the Second World War. Thanks to its powerful inverted V12 engine and clean aerodynamics it was among the fastest machines of its day. Early and late aircraft differed in details of the cockpit, which is why this set is prepared specifically for the early version.

Use

• Coat the surface under the elements with a gloss varnish (Future, Klear, Tamiya X-22): the elements have no adhesive layer of their own and will not hold on a matte base
• Soak the cut-out part in lukewarm water for about fifteen seconds and slide it off the backing paper into place; on busy shapes a drop of cyanoacrylate helps
• Suitable for the early versions of the Macchi C.202 Folgore model in the matching scale
• Do not use a decal softener or a decal setter, as their chemistry attacks the printed resin and ruins the element
