An Eduard photo-etched set for a model of the Italian Macchi MC.200 Saetta fighter in 1:48 scale. The metal parts refine the places where plastic comes out thick.
Responsibility details are not available.
The Macchi MC.200 Saetta is an Italian single-seat fighter with which the Regia Aeronautica entered the Second World War. The early production batches had the cockpit covered by glazing; later machines lost it and flew with an open cockpit, because pilots preferred the view and the habit they had from biplanes. The Saetta was considered an agile and sturdy machine, but it lagged behind its opponents in armament and speed. It was used over the Mediterranean, over the Balkans and on the Eastern Front.
Photo-etched parts in thin sheet metal. The thickness of the etch matches the places where the real subject is sheet metal or a small grille and where a plastic part necessarily comes out thicker. The parts stay on the carrier sheet until the last moment, held there by thin tabs.
For modelers who build Italian machines of the Second World War and want detail in scale even where plastic would look coarse. It assumes experience of working with tweezers and a steady hand.
The package contains photo-etched parts. The kit, the paints and the glue are not included, unless stated otherwise.
