This set from the manufacturer Quickboost contains resin exhaust stacks with the correct shape for models of the Italian Macchi MC.205 Veltro fighter in 1:48 scale. It replaces the exhausts from a kit with a more faithful execution with open openings.
Exhaust stacks are a display element along the sides of the engine. Resin castings have open openings and fine detail that injection-molded plastic usually only suggests. Quickboost is a simple replacement set - clean it up, bond it with cyanoacrylate glue and paint it in metallic shades with weathering.
First wash the resin parts in lukewarm water with detergent to remove the mold release agent residue, carefully cut off the casting blocks and lightly sand the cut surfaces. They are bonded with cyanoacrylate glue (super glue) only; cement for plastic does not hold on resin. Sanding resin creates dust that is harmful to health, so work with respiratory protection.
This is a detail accessory, not a complete model. The base kit, glue, paints and other accessories are not included in the package.
