1:48 Mask MiG-25PD EXPERT (ICM 48903)

1:48 Mask MiG-25PD EXPERT (New Ware)

This is a masking set, not a model. The EXPERT version is the most complete variant of the New Ware range for this subject. It contains pre-cut die-cut self-adhesive kabuki tape masks for the canopy including the sealing strips, for the inner and outer side of the glazing, for the other clear parts, the wheels, the nose and the position lights. The set usually also includes masks for the camouflage demarcation on the MiG-25PD model in 1:48 scale.

The real subject

The MiG-25PD was the interceptor version of the legendary Foxbat, a Soviet aircraft famous for its high speed and ceiling. Modernized avionics and engines made it a feared opponent of the Cold War, and its sharply drawn shapes are a rewarding subject for modelers.

Use

• Masks for the inner and the outer side of the glazing make the paint on the frames and the seals manageable.
• Kabuki tape sits down on rounded surfaces and comes off cleanly after spraying.
• Masks for the nose and the lights help with details set apart in color.
• The demarcation masks make sharp transitions between the camouflage fields easier.

Who the set is for

• Demanding modelers who want the glazing and the details fully under control.
• Builders who do not get on with cutting tape by hand.
• Collectors striving for the greatest possible accuracy of painting.

The set does not contain paints, glue or the model. It is an aid for painting.
