A decal sheet for models of the McDonnell Douglas T-45C Goshawk trainer in 1:48 scale.
Responsibility details are not available.
The T-45 Goshawk is a jet trainer of the US Navy, derived from the British BAe Hawk and adapted for operation from aircraft carriers, that is with strengthened landing gear and an arrestor hook. The T-45C version differs from the older machines in the instrumentation of the cockpit, which has displays. It serves for advanced pilot training and for practice deck landings.
Decals for models of the T-45C Goshawk in 1:48 scale. How many machines and which combinations of markings the sheet covers is given in the enclosed instructions, as is the kit it is tailored to. The extent of the remaining technical lettering varies from sheet to sheet, so it pays to go through the instructions before you start building.
Before you soak the sheet, check in the instructions whether it is a self-adhesive type. Self-adhesive film that has been soaked is ruined for good, whereas a waterslide decal can be soaked at any later time. With the usual waterslide type, cut the motif out, dip it in lukewarm water for a few seconds and leave it to rest on absorbent paper until the film comes free of the backing. It is applied to a gloss surface, otherwise a white haze appears under the decal. Squeeze the water out from under the decal with a soft brush, decal softener will help it settle into the detail, and once it has dried, clear coat the whole.
The sheet suits modelers who build the T-45C in 1:48 scale and want markings other than those the basic kit offers.
The model, paints and clear coat are not included in the delivery, unless stated otherwise.
