The SPACE set brings color 3D decals intended for quick and convincing detailing of the cockpit of the Me 163B Komet rocket fighter in 1:48 scale. It combines raised printed decals of the instrument panel and the side consoles with color photo-etched seat belts, so you can create a realistic cockpit even without an airbrush.

The real subject

The Messerschmitt Me 163B Komet was a German rocket-powered interceptor of the end of the Second World War. It was powered by a rocket on two-component propellant, thanks to which it reached an extraordinary rate of climb, but with a very short period of powered flight. It took off from a jettisonable undercarriage and landed on a retractable skid.

Application

• The parts have no adhesive layer of their own: with a damp sponge and a drop of detergent moisten only the backing paper beneath the part.
• Lift the released part off with tweezers and settle it onto a clean degreased surface; do not immerse the sheet in water.
• Fix it with white PVA glue; the manufacturer does not recommend cyanoacrylate.
• Do not use decal softener, as it would damage the printed resin and the detail would dissolve.
