Me 163B/S 3D interior 1:48 Quinta Studio is a 3D-printed, fully colored cockpit interior on decal paper that brings the crew space to life without laborious masking and spraying. The set is cut for the Dragon kit.
Responsibility details are not available.
This is not a kit but a colored detail accessory. The parts are printed with 3D technology, colored right away and printed on decal (water-release) paper. The set gives the instrument panels, the side walls of the cockpit, the seats and the belts full color and raised relief without your having to spray and mask the interior at length. It is prepared for a particular plastic Me 163B/S kit in 1:48 scale.
The Me 163B/S was the two-seat unpowered training version of the Komet rocket fighter. It served as a glider for training pilots who were learning to handle the unusual tailless aircraft and above all its demanding landing on a skid. Compared with the combat version it had a cockpit adapted for an instructor and a pupil.
The parts are applied like ordinary decals: cut them out, dip them in water for a moment and transfer them onto a previously varnished surface. Do not use a decal softener or a setting solution at all, as their chemistry attacks the printed resin and ruins the element. On broken-up spots, for example the belts on the seats, a thin coat of gloss varnish helps as an additional adhesive. It is advisable to sand raised detail off the plastic beforehand.
This is a detail accessory on its own, not a kit. The plastic model, paints and glue are not included in the package.
