Eduard Me 262A Schwalbe masks 1:48 is a die-cut self-adhesive masking set for a model of the German Me 262A jet fighter. It gives crisp color edges on the glazing, the wheels and the camouflage. It is not a model but a masking aid.
Responsibility details are not available.
This die-cut self-adhesive Eduard masking set in 1:48 scale is intended for a plastic model of the German Messerschmitt Me 262A Schwalbe jet fighter. It is neither a kit nor a standalone model but a set of precisely shaped masks in thin yellow masking tape (kabuki). The masks will be appreciated by modelers who want crisp color edges on the glazing, the wheels and the camouflage fields without the slow job of cutting tape by hand.
The Messerschmitt Me 262 Schwalbe is a German twin-engine jet fighter from the end of the Second World War and the first jet fighter committed to combat. The pair of jet engines under the wings gave it a speed well above that of the piston fighters of the day. The A version was the basic single-seat form in the fighter and fighter-bomber roles.
Degrease the glazing of the framed canopy and let it dry. Lift the masks off the backing, lay them on the individual frames, press them into the edges and fill small cut-outs with a strip of tape. Spray the color with an airbrush in thin coats. The wheel masks separate the tire from the rim. Once the paint has dried, peel the masks off carefully at a sharp angle.
The package contains masks only. The model, the paints, the glue and the decals are not included, unless stated otherwise.
