Self-adhesive pre-cut masks Eduard 1:48 Me 410 made of kabuki tape, for precise masking of the canopy glazing and the wheels of a model.
Responsibility details are not available.
A precisely pre-cut self-adhesive masking set from the Czech manufacturer Eduard for a model of the German Messerschmitt Me 410 Hornisse twin-engine heavy fighter and fast bomber of the Second World War, in 1:48 scale. The set is made of yellow kabuki tape, which holds on flat and curved surfaces alike and, once the edges are pressed down, gives a sharp paint transition.
The glazed canopy of the Me 410 has a great many frames, and masking them by hand takes a long time. Pre-cut masks speed the work up and make sure the glass stays clean and the frames have sharp edges. The set also contains circular masks for the hubs and the wheel rims, for easy separation of the tire from the rim.
Lift the individual masks off the backing carefully with pointed tweezers, lay them on the part and press the edges down thoroughly (with a toothpick or a piece of tissue, for instance) so that paint cannot bleed under the edge. Cover the larger areas of glass between the frames with a strip of ordinary tape or with masking fluid. Spray the paint in thin coats and peel the masks off while the coat is still fresh — the edges stay sharpest that way.
This is a self-adhesive masking set, not a model. The kit itself, paints and glue are not included in the package.
