A set of color elements of the SPACE line in 1:48 scale for a model of the Messerschmitt Bf 109G-6 fighter. Only the backing paper is moistened; an element is glued with white dispersion glue.
Responsibility details are not available.
The Messerschmitt Bf 109 is among the most numerously produced fighters in history and the G-6 version is the most widespread of the whole family. Its recognition features are the bulged covers above the forward part of the fuselage, which the larger weapons mounted above the engine called for. The cockpit can be seen into well on a model, so color detail inside the fuselage is visible even after the build is finished.
This is a set of color elements of the SPACE line in 1:48 scale. The elements sit on a backing paper, and that is what determines this line: only that paper is moistened, the element is lifted off it with tweezers and is fixed to the part of the model with white dispersion glue; a softener does not belong with them. They stand out above the surface in relief, so the instrument panel and other details come across more faithfully than a mere coat with a brush. The extent of the set and which parts the elements belong on are given in the manufacturer's instructions.
First paint the base and let it dry thoroughly, so that the glue has something to take hold of; on a dusty or greasy surface an element will not hold. Moisten the backing paper with a sponge with a drop of dish soap, take the elements off with tweezers and seat them on a thin layer of white dispersion glue; the manufacturer does not recommend superglue. Press them down with a cotton bud or a wooden stick so that they seat even into the recesses. Apply the clear coat in a fine mist and in a thin layer.
The kit of the aircraft, paints and glue are not part of the delivery, unless stated otherwise.
