1:48 Meteor F.8

Gloster Meteor F.8 painting masks 1:48 (Eduard)

This is not a kit but a set of painting (masking) masks of the Eduard brand in 1:48 scale. The masks are precisely die-cut from yellow kabuki paper (Japanese masking paper) and are self-adhesive. They serve for clean spraying of the cockpit glazing, the wheels and other features of the Gloster Meteor F.8 jet fighter. The model itself is obtained separately and is not included in the package.

The real subject

The Gloster Meteor was the first British jet fighter to see combat and one of the first operational jet aircraft of all. The F.8 version became the main day fighter variant of the post-war era, with a lengthened fuselage and a reworked rear end.

Use

• You lay the mask on the place concerned on the model and mask the surroundings.
• You spray the paint over the mask, and once it is peeled off crisp transitions remain.
• It is suitable above all for the frames of the canopy and for the wheels.
• It is used on a dried base coat on the model.

Who the set is for

• For modelers building the Gloster Meteor F.8 fighter in 1:48 scale.
• For anyone interested in clean masking without laborious cutting from tape.
• For intermediate and advanced modelers.

This is an accessory (a masking set), not a model. The model, paints and glue are not included in the package.
