Responsibility details are not available.
An injection-molded plastic kit of the Soviet, or rather Russian, Mil Mi-17 transport helicopter in 1:48 scale from the manufacturer Trumpeter. It is a sizeable and richly broken-up model with a cockpit and a cargo cabin rendered in detail; the package also contains a photo-etched part and offers several marking variants. NATO designates this family by the code Hip.
The Mi-17 is the upgraded and export version of the exceptionally widespread medium Mi-8 helicopter. It is powered by two Klimov TV3-117 turboshaft engines, more powerful than those of the original Mi-8, thanks to which the helicopter copes even at high altitudes and in a hot climate. The distinguishing mark of the Mi-17 is the tail rotor moved to the right side of the tail boom. The machine serves worldwide to carry troops and cargo, in armed form for fire support as well, and it is widespread in civil service too.
Finish and paint the interior of the cockpit and the cargo cabin before closing the fuselage, as on a helicopter a great deal is visible through the glazing and the side doors. Assemble the rotor head and the long tail boom carefully, so that the geometry of the blades sits right. The extensive cockpit glazing deserves masks. Choose the finish according to the user, from Russian and Eastern European camouflage to desert and civil schemes; an airbrush and a primer will ensure a smooth surface.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
