The set holds a turned metal barrel of the four-barrel YakB-12.7 machine gun and the DUAS system probe made up of resin and turned metal parts.
Turned metal parts faithfully capture the thin walls and precise shapes that plastic cannot reach. The YakB-12.7 machine gun barrel refines the nose weapon turret and the metal and resin DUAS probe completes the sensor on the nose of the fuselage. The result is more realistic and mechanically tougher detail on the exposed parts of the model.
The Mi-24 is a Soviet attack helicopter with capacity for a landing party, armed in the Hind D/E versions with a rotating nose turret with the rapid-fire YakB-12.7 mm machine gun. Cut the original plastic parts off the kit and drill a hole in the plastic that is left for the pin of the metal part. Glue the turned metal parts with super glue (cyanoacrylate), which holds metal better than cement for plastic. First wash the resin parts to remove the remains of the mold release agent. The metal barrels can be painted after degreasing and priming.
