This is a resin detail accessory, not a standalone model. The set replaces the air intakes on models of the Soviet fighter Mikoyan-Gurevich MiG-19 in 1:48 scale and adds both depth and a realistic shape to the leading edges.
The MiG-19 was the first Soviet production supersonic fighter. It was powered by a pair of jet engines and the circular nose intake with its splitter cone fed air through ducts around the cockpit. A faithful intake markedly improves the view of a model from the front.
Suitable for modelers who want to improve the look of the intake without laborious modification of the plastic. Working with resin assumes some basic experience.
It is supplied unpainted. The model itself, glue and paints are not included in the package.
