1:48 MiG-25BM EXPERT kabuki masks

Masking masks for the MiG-25BM 1:48 — the EXPERT set

An extended set of laser-cut masking masks of Japanese kabuki tape from the Czech brand New Ware for a model of the MiG-25BM in 1:48 scale. The EXPERT level goes beyond the basic masking: it allows for a greater number of airframe details, so with it you can plan and cleanly spray the whole model from the canopy down to the small panels.

Why reach for the EXPERT level

The MiG-25 is one of the largest fighter airframes ever to fly, and its BM version for destroying radars carries a number of specific panels and covers on top of that. The more surfaces you spray, the more edges you have to watch, and that is exactly where the extended set saves time: instead of measuring out and cutting your own masks you take ready shapes off the sheet. The result is consistent, sharp transitions over the whole model, which will be appreciated above all by builders preparing a model for an exhibition or a competition.

Use

• Work from the large surfaces to the details and lay the masks on a degreased, cured base.
• Press the edges of the masks down with a toothpick or a soft squeegee, especially in recesses.
• Spray thin coats; let the paint dry properly between shades.
• Lift the masks off with tweezers at a sharp angle, never straight up from the surface.

Who it is for

For advanced modelers and competition builders who do not want to leave anything to chance on the large Foxbat airframe and will appreciate complete, ready masking.

This is an accessory: the package holds masking masks only, and the model and paints are not included. Check the compatibility with your kit before you buy.
