Eduard 1:48 MiG-25PD is a photo-etched detail set for a model of the Soviet MiG-25PD interceptor. It is an accessory for the build, not a kit of the aircraft.
Responsibility details are not available.
A set of fine photo-etched metal parts from the Czech maker Eduard, intended for a plastic model of the MiG-25PD interceptor in 1:48 scale. It is neither a model of the aircraft nor a kit but an accessory: etched sheet reaches a thinness that injection-molded plastic will never match, so parts such as panels, instrument panels, covers, grilles and small sheet-metal details look considerably more realistic once glued on than their plastic counterparts.
The Mikoyan-Gurevich MiG-25PD was the modernized interceptor version of the famous high-speed fighter. Compared with the original it received a more capable radar, an infrared seeker and revised engines. The machine was built above all for a fast climb to high altitude and an attack on fast targets, which the structure of mostly welded steel matched. It is precisely the large panel areas and the complex interior that offer photo-etched parts plenty of scope.
For more advanced modelers who work with tweezers and cyanoacrylate glue and who want to take a model beyond building straight from the box. We recommend that beginners start with smaller sets — photo-etched parts are tiny and do not forgive mistakes as easily as plastic does.
It is a detail accessory for the build, not a model. The base kit, paints and glue are not included in the package.
