Montex - a masking set for the MiG-3 (late version) in 1:48 scale - die-cut self-adhesive templates for a clean spray finish on the cabin glazing and the markings of this Soviet high-altitude fighter.
Responsibility details are not available.
Die-cut self-adhesive Montex masks will secure clean and sharp framing of the cabin glazing on a model of the MiG-3 in 1:48 scale. The range combines masks for the transparent parts with templates for spraying the national insignia, so that you spray the markings directly into the camouflage without decals and their silvering. This is an accessory for painting intended for the late production rendering of the aircraft, not a kit; the masks are cut to fit a particular model, so check compatibility with your kit.
The MiG-3 was a Soviet fighter designed at the beginning of the 1940s for combat at great heights, where it gave its best performance with the AM-35A engine. It was characterized by a long nose and a slender fuselage. The fighting on the Eastern Front, however, took place mostly at low altitudes, where the machine lost its advantage, and so it gradually moved to the units of the air defense, where it intercepted reconnaissance aircraft and bombers.
Stick the masks onto a degreased surface, transfer them with tweezers and smooth the edges down thoroughly. Apply the paint with an airbrush in thin layers at right angles to the edge of the mask; on sprayed markings, work from the light shades to the dark ones. Once it has dried, take the masks off carefully at a sharp angle.
A masking accessory - the model, the paints and the glue are not included in the package.
