Mil Mi-24P cargo interior 1:48 is an Eduard photo-etched set aimed at the interior of the cargo compartment of the attack helicopter.

The product code places this among Eduard's full photo-etched sets, that is the more extensive of the two variants the Czech brand makes for one type. In its aim the set differs from the rest of the range for the Mi-24P: it is directed not at the pilot's cockpit but at the rear compartment, where the machine carried the assault troops it put down. It is precisely this compartment that in plastic kits tends to be handled with no more than suggested paneling.
The attack helicopter of the Mil design bureau joined two roles that were separated elsewhere: it carried the armament of an attack machine and at the same time had, behind the crew cockpit, a cabin for a squad of troops to be put down. This combination determined its construction as well; the fuselage is markedly bulkier than on classic attack helicopters and the side doors of the compartment open in two leaves. The version designated with the letter P differs from the older machines in a fixed twin-barrel cannon mounting on the right side instead of a movable turret at the front.
Separate the parts on a hard base with a sharp blade, not with scissors; the edge would curl. Lead the bends over a metal ruler or in a bender, and with wide parts rather in two goes. Glue them to plastic with super glue applied with the head of a pin; large paneling surfaces hold more reliably on a thin layer of epoxy, which gives time to seat them. Degrease the photo-etch before painting, or the primer layer will peel off along with a fingerprint.
