A resin (Brassin) accessory, the Mi-24V 9A624 machine gun, in 1:48 scale from Eduard. A detailed part for the nose weapon, not a stand-alone model.
Responsibility details are not available.
A resin accessory from the Brassin range by the Czech maker Eduard that replaces the plastic part of the movable nose weapon of the Mil Mi-24V helicopter. It is a faithfully cast four-barrel 12.7 mm machine gun (type 9A624) in the rotating nose turret. It is not a model of the helicopter but a detail part to refine it; according to the manufacturer it is intended for the Zvezda kit.
The resin casting has markedly sharper detail of the barrels and the mechanism than the injection-molded part and visibly lifts the look of the characteristic nose weapon of the Hind. It replaces the corresponding plastic part of the kit.
Wash the part free of mold release agent and separate it carefully from the casting block (the fine barrels are fragile). Glue with cyanoacrylate glue (super glue) and sand with respiratory protection. The weapon is best painted separately before it is fitted.
This is a detail accessory for experienced modelers, not a stand-alone model. It is supplied unassembled and unpainted; the base kit, glue and paints are not included in the package.
