Responsibility details are not available.
The French bombing tradition named after Brittany reaches back to the time of the Second World War, and it is from 1942 that the date which appeared on the anniversary finish of 1992 is counted. The carrier of it became the Mirage IVP, that is the two-seat supersonic bomber whose aircraft number 23 with the code AV this sheet captures.
The Mirage IV was designed as a carrier of a nuclear weapon and differed from the single-seat fighters of the same family in an enlarged fuselage, a pair of engines and a crew seated one behind the other. In the version with the letter P it received modernized avionics and new equipment for penetrating to a target at low level. A model in 1:48 scale comes out exceptionally long, so festive artwork shows on it to the full.
The anniversary motifs were aimed mainly at the vertical tail surface and at the sides of the forward fuselage, where there is enough continuous area. They are accompanied by the badges of the unit and the markings of the aircraft. When working, go from the largest element to the smallest, so that the small lettering can be placed by the graphics already settled. The film will take careful moving only until it begins to dry on; after that leave it alone.
The finish of the start of the 1990s came about at a time when the Mirage IV was already at the close of its career and other types were taking over its role. Sets of this kind therefore document the final stage of the French airborne carrier.
