1:35 Pz.Kpfw. IV Ausf. G, late production — photo-etched set from Voyager Model is an accessory for a plastic kit you already own, not a model. The basic set of photo-etched brass is cut for the Border Model 35001 kit.
Responsibility details are not available.
A detail set of brass sheet in 1:35 scale. It is not a model of the vehicle but an accessory for the finished Border Model 35001 plastic kit. The manufacturer uses the Basic designation for sets in the basic scope.
The Pz.Kpfw. IV was the most numerously built German medium tank of the Second World War. The late-production G version carried a long-barreled 75 mm gun and, in the course of production, received additional armor plates on the sides of the hull and the turret. These were mounted on thin members and frames, a type of structure where the plastic parts from the box look far too heavy.
Painting photo-etched parts has rules of its own. Brass is smooth and non-absorbent, so without a primer for metal the paint merely sits on the surface and is rubbed off during handling. A thin primer applied with an airbrush is ideal, and once it has dried, very thin coats of paint: photo-etched parts have a fine texture that a heavy application blocks. If you are gluing metal parts to an already painted model, sand the contact point down to the plastic, otherwise the joint holds only on the layer of paint. A flat clear coat before the weathering helps the washes flow evenly on the metal too.
The set is an accessory for a model, not a kit. The kit, glue, paints and tools are not included in the package.
