The plastic kit Hasegawa 1:48 Mitsubishi A6M5c Zero Fighter Type 52 Hei captures the late, more heavily armed version of the legendary Japanese carrier fighter.
Responsibility details are not available.
This injection-molded plastic kit from the Japanese manufacturer Hasegawa in 1:48 scale represents the A6M5c variant, that is, the Type 52 Hei subtype of the famous Zero carrier fighter. The model consists of finely detailed parts in gray polystyrene and clear canopy parts, and it is supplied as an unassembled set with a decal sheet for period markings.
The A6M5c was one of the last production versions of the Mitsubishi A6M Zero fighter, which formed the backbone of the Imperial Japanese Navy Air Service during the Second World War. Compared with earlier machines, the Type 52 Hei was given strengthened armament, added pilot armor and more resistant fuel tanks. These changes increased the weight and came at a time when the Zero was already facing more modern Allied fighters. It was powered by the Nakajima Sakae radial engine.
Glue the parts with liquid cement for plastic and sand the joints down once dry. We recommend painting and picking out the engine and the cockpit before the fuselage is closed up. For smooth covering layers use a primer and an airbrush; apply a gloss coat before the decals and a matte one with light weathering after them.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
