A mask for spraying the canopy of the Mitsubishi A6M5c/7/8 Reisen in 1:48 scale from the maker Dead Design. The die-cut segments follow the frames of the glazing of the late Zero versions and guarantee clean lines with no paint running underneath.
Responsibility details are not available.
A masking template for spraying the frames of the canopy of the late versions of the Japanese fighter Mitsubishi A6M Reisen (Zero) in 1:48 scale. The segments are cut out exactly according to the division of the glazing, so the laborious tracing and cutting of tape on a clear part, where every mistake damages the surface irretrievably, is done away with.
The late versions of the Zero came about at the close of the Second World War as a response to the ever stronger Allied fighters. The A6M5c version was given reinforced gun armament and elements of protection for the pilot, the A6M7 was adapted for carrying a bomb and the A6M8 was given a more powerful engine. The canopy of these machines differed from the early versions, which is why a template intended for the late machines is an item of its own.
Degrease the clear part before masking. Transfer the individual panes with tweezers, line them up along the frames and press the edges down with a soft tool. Spray the interior shade first and then the external camouflage in several thin layers - a heavy layer raises the risk of paint running underneath and of a step at the edge. Once it has dried, pull the mask off at a sharp angle.
A masking accessory - the kit, the paints and the glue are not included in the package.
