Eduard 1:48 Mitsubishi Ki-21-I TFace is a masking set in the TFace form, that is for both the outer and the inner side of the glazing on a model of the Japanese bomber in 1:48 scale.
Responsibility details are not available.
A masking set from the Czech manufacturer Eduard for a model of the Japanese bomber Mitsubishi Ki-21-I in 1:48 scale. The TFace designation is a distinguishing detail at Eduard and means that the set is prepared for both the outer and the inner side of the glazing. The basic version of the same set without that designation deals only with the outer side, and is therefore the simpler of the two.
Degrease the glazing and let it dry. Carry the parts of the mask with tweezers and press them down all the way round, above all on the edges of the frames. Apply the paint in several thin coats; one heavy wet coat readily runs under the edge. The usual procedure with a TFace set is to spray the inner side first in the interior color and only then the outer side in the camouflage color. Lift the mask off shortly after the paint has dried.
The Mitsubishi Ki-21 was the main heavy bomber of the Japanese Army Air Force and carried the Allied code name Sally. The Ki-21-I series took in the earliest production versions, which the Japanese put into action over China and in the first months of the war in the Pacific. The model stands out for its extensive nose glazing and several gun positions, so masking the frames by hand is among the most drawn-out parts of the build.
This is a masking accessory for painting a model and is sold separately. Neither paints nor the target model are included in the package.
