1:48 Nakajima B6N1/B6N2 Tenzan landing gear bay masks from Dead Design. They keep the shade of the bay interior clean even while the underside of the airframe is sprayed over it.

A set of die-cut masks from Dead Design for the landing gear bays of a model of the Nakajima B6N Tenzan carrier torpedo bomber in 1:48 scale. It covers the inside of the bays, not the glazing.
A landing gear bay is one of the few places on a model where two entirely different finishes meet a few millimeters apart. In many schemes the interior of the bay has a different shade from the lower surfaces of the airframe, and the transition between them is clearly visible, because a model is looked at precisely from below when it stands on a stand. If the shade is fouled from above by the top coat, the whole effect disappears: the bay goes gray and merges with its surroundings.
A die-cut mask follows the outline of the opening, so the edge of the paint lies exactly where it should. It is applied to a dry interior and lifted off once the top color has dried. The recommended procedure: lay the mask on, go over the edge with a blunt tool, spray over it lightly first, check, and only then cover fully. Anyone who masks with tape cut by hand usually spends more time touching up the edges than on the spraying itself.
The B6N Tenzan was the successor to the older B5N in the role of carrier-borne torpedo bomber of the Imperial Japanese Navy. It was marked by markedly higher performance and a sizable vertical tail; outside Japan it is known under the code name Jill. The B6N1 and B6N2 differed in the engine used.
