Eduard 1:48 North American P-51D Mustang cockpit is a detailed resin cockpit set for the model of the famous American fighter in 1:48 scale, intended for more experienced modelers.
Responsibility details are not available.
A detailed cockpit set from the Czech manufacturer Eduard from its range of resin accessories. It replaces the interior of the cockpit of the base kit of the P-51D Mustang in 1:48 scale with parts worked out considerably more richly; the fine details of the sidewalls, the floor and the equipment of the cockpit are at a level that injection-molded plastic does not commonly reach. It is not a stand-alone model of an aircraft but an accessory for improving one.
The North American P-51D Mustang is among the most famous fighter aircraft of the Second World War. The D version with a bubble canopy and the Packard V-1650 engine, the licensed version of the British Rolls-Royce Merlin, accompanied bomber formations deep over Germany from 1944. The roomy cockpit with its prominent seat frame and radio equipment behind the pilot is very clearly visible under the bubble canopy, so detailing it really does pay off on a finished model.
Wash the resin parts in warm soapy water, cut the casting blocks off with a saw and sand the marks they leave down with protection for your airways. Glue with cyanoacrylate glue. Before closing the fuselage up, check with a dry fit that the assembled cockpit does not call for thinning the walls of the fuselage. The details will come out after fine shading and emphasis with drybrushing.
This is a supplementary set; the kit of the aircraft, glue and paints are not included in the package.
