An injection-molded plastic kit of the T-28D attack version of the American Trojan aircraft in 1:48 scale from Roden. The box holds injection-molded plastic, clear glazing parts and a decal sheet; the model is meant to be glued and painted.
The North American T-28 Trojan was an American piston-engine trainer with a radial engine. The T-28D version came about by converting it into a light attack machine with a strengthened airframe, pylons under the wings and the option of carrying bombs, rocket pods and machine gun pods. It proved useful in counter-insurgency operations, among other places in Southeast Asia.
The multi-part radial engine and the tandem cockpits deserve careful cleanup and painting before the fuselage is closed. Glue the parts with liquid cement for plastic, apply a primer before spraying and put the paint on with an airbrush. Add the external stores and the pylons according to the scheme you choose.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
