Responsibility details are not available.
The Big Ed range gathers several separate photo-etched sets for one particular model into a single box. It is not an airplane kit but a group of accessories that are fitted into a model you have bought. Photo-etch consists of thin metal parts with a high resolution of detail; they replace plastic components that could not be molded finely enough in a small scale, typically instrument panels, cockpit side walls, grilles and small sheet-metal covers.
The OV-10 Bronco is a twin-boom turboprop light attack and observation aircraft. What is characteristic is the layout with two booms, a high-set tailplane and a glazed tandem cockpit that gives the crew an exceptional view downward. The machine was designed to operate from unprepared strips, for reconnaissance and for directing air support onto ground targets, while the rear of the fuselage could carry cargo or a few people. The OV-10A version was the first production variant.
Separate the photo-etched parts with a sharp scalpel on a hard surface, not by twisting, so that they do not bend. Make the bends over a steel ruler or in a photo-etch bender, not with your fingers. Degrease the metal first and spray it with a surfacer, otherwise paint will not hold on the smooth surface. Bond small parts with cyanoacrylate glue applied with a pin; on larger surfaces a slow-setting variant is useful, so that there is time to position them. Painted instrument panels are only sealed with a matte varnish, so that the printing does not disappear.
The set is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and the base kit are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
