A self-adhesive masking set from the Dead Design brand for models of the North American Rockwell OV-10A Bronco observation and liaison aircraft in 1:48 scale, in the double-sided form. It allows the glazing to be covered not only from outside but from the inner face as well. It is not an aircraft kit but an accessory for the build. The number of pieces, the material and the exact extent of the set are not stated here.
The OV-10 Bronco is a twin-engine turboprop aircraft with tail booms and a high-set wing, designed for observation, reconnaissance and cooperation with ground units. The OV-10A version was the basic production variant. For the modeler, what matters is that the cockpit is tandem and exceptionally well glazed, including side and lower panels meant to give a view downward. That is exactly why masking is unusually laborious on this type and why the double-sided form makes sense: over such large glazed areas the inner face of the frames is well in view on the finished model. Other items for the same type belong to the same range; this one is the version for both faces.
Degrease the glazing and let it dry completely. Stick the masks on the inner face first and spray the cockpit shade, then place the outer masks and lay on the outer color. Always press the mask down all the way around the frame and work in stages on curved parts, so that it follows the shape without creases. Spray the paint in thin coats; a heavy coat runs under the edge and the line smudges. Once dry, take the mask off with tweezers at a shallow angle along the surface.
This is an accessory for the build. The aircraft model, paints and glue are not included in the package.
