The individual numbers in the range correspond to different patterns, so they can be combined within a scene. It is not a model of a vehicle or a kit but an architectural detail with which the setting around a model is filled out.
Ornamental grilles are a small thing a viewer notices only at second glance, and that is exactly why they help a scene so much. They find a use in ground-floor windows, as an infill in a fence, in a transom light above a gateway, in a balcony railing or as an infill in a gate. In 1:48 scale a detail like this is hard to make by hand, because the sections are very thin and the regularity of the pattern is difficult to keep. A ready-made item therefore saves a considerable amount of work.
Handle thin items with tweezers and without unnecessary force; a bend in a fine grille is hard to straighten out. Apply the paint in thin layers, as a heavy layer would flood the pattern and wipe out the impression of fineness. A wrought finish suits a dark base with no more than a hint of sheen on the edges, and perhaps fine traces of rust where water would run down after rain. Always dry-fit a grille seated into an opening and, if necessary, carefully adjust the opening rather than the grille.
