Responsibility details are not available.
This set from Quinta Studio brings a colored cockpit interior printed by 3D technology on decal paper. It is neither a kit nor an airplane model, but a three-dimensional accessory intended for plastic models of the P-39 Airacobra in 1:48 scale. It contains the instrument panel, the side consoles, the controls and the seat belts, printed in color and ready to apply. The target kit is Eduard.
The Bell P-39 Airacobra was an American fighter of the Second World War with an unusual layout: the engine sat in the middle of the fuselage behind the pilot, and the barrel of a cannon ran through the propeller shaft. It was one of the first fighters with a nose landing gear and a cockpit with car-style doors. The Soviet Air Force used it in large numbers.
3D decals combine three-dimensional relief with the simplicity of a wet decal. Both the painting and the folding of multi-layer colored photo-etch fall away. The part is dipped in lukewarm water for about fifteen seconds and slid off the paper onto the surface. It has no adhesive layer of its own, so coat the base with gloss varnish beforehand and use a drop of super glue on shaped areas. Do not use a decal softener or a setting solution, as they attack the printed resin and ruin the element. We recommend checking the set against the cockpit of your particular kit beforehand.
This is an accessory, not a standalone model. The plastic model, glue and paints are not included in the package.
