1:48 P-39N Airacobra is a bundle of accessory sets for the American Bell fighter in 1:48 scale.
Responsibility details are not available.
A box in the Big Ed line brings together several separately sold accessories for one aircraft type into a single whole. The point is simple: the builder gets the equipment for the model in one place and does not have to put together individual items from different lines.
The Airacobra was one of the most unusual fighters of the Second World War. The engine sat behind the pilot, a long shaft ran to the propeller under the cockpit floor and a large-caliber cannon fired through the hollow shaft. Add to that a nose gear and entry to the cockpit through car-style doors with a handle. The N version came about by lightening the aircraft, and with its increased performance it proved itself above all with Soviet regiments, where it suited combat at low altitude over the front.
Work with a bundle like this pays off if it is planned ahead: the interior and the bays first, and only then close the fuselage. Bending is best done in a bender or over a sharp edge, and it helps to sort the small parts into dishes in the order of assembly beforehand. Without patience and good tweezers it is demanding, but the result moves the model into another class.
The contents are accessories for the build; the plastic base model is a separate item.
