Big Sin from the Czech maker Eduard is a combined package of premium resin sets from the Brassin range for the plastic model of the North American P-51B/C Mustang in 1:48 scale. It is a detail set for a demanding build, not a model. The ADVANCED variant brings together the resin sets for the gun bays, the landing gear bays and the power plant with the engine, which let the model be built with its technical areas exposed.
The North American P-51B/C Mustang was an American fighter of the Second World War. Once it received the British Rolls-Royce Merlin engine (built under license by Packard) the Mustang gained high-altitude performance and became a prized long-range escort fighter that covered bomber formations over Europe. The B and C versions differed mainly in where they were built and in the framed canopy.
Wash the resin parts free of mold release agent, cut the casting blocks off with a saw and glue with cyanoacrylate. Sand the resin with respiratory protection. The exposed engine and the bays come out well once washes and light weathering are applied.
This is a resin accessory set, not a model. The base kit, glue, paints and other accessories are not included in the package.
