This set from Eduard holds 3D printed resin underwing fuel tanks of 108 gallons capacity for a model of the American P-51B and P-51C Mustang fighter in 1:48 scale. It is a detail accessory replacing the plastic parts from the box, not an aircraft kit.
Droppable auxiliary tanks markedly extended the range of the Mustangs when escorting bombers over Europe. Paper and metal tanks of 108 gallons capacity were among the typical equipment of the B and C series machines.
The parts are printed directly and go together easily. Separate them carefully from the print supports, clean them up and glue them with a super glue (cyanoacrylate). Knock the surface back slightly to matte before painting.
The accessory comes unassembled and unpainted; the paints and the glue are not included in the package.
