An aftermarket set in resin, not a stand-alone model. It contains a detailed model of the gunsight for P-51D Mustang models in 1:48 scale. It is a cockpit feature that is clearly visible with the canopy open; the resin version offers finer shapes and cleaner detail than plastic.
Late P-51D Mustang versions used a modern computing gunsight that made aiming easier for the pilot. It was mounted on the instrument panel in front of the pilot and is among the prominent details of the cockpit. Fine optics are usually part of it, which can be completed with a clear part.
Wash the parts free of mold release agent and separate them carefully from the casting blocks. Given the small dimensions, work with tweezers and a magnifier. Glue with cyanoacrylate glue (super glue). Paint the gunsight before closing the cockpit; for the glass you can use a clear part or a drop of gloss varnish.
