The Quickboost (Aires) set in 1:48 scale holds a finely cast rear wheel well (the well of the tailwheel) for the American North American P-51D Mustang fighter. It is a detail accessory, not a kit of the airplane: the resin well replaces the simplified plastic part and adds realistic texture to the interior space.
The North American P-51D Mustang was one of the most successful long-range fighters of the Second World War. The retractable tailwheel tucked away into a well in the rear part of the fuselage, whose internal breakdown and bracing are easy to make out with the doors open and are rewarding to pick out on a model.
Wash the part free of mold release residue, separate it from the casting block and set it in with the help of super glue (cyanoacrylate). Protect your airways while sanding. The detail of the well comes into its own over a light base, with a fine wash and a dry brush on the edges.
The accessory is supplied unassembled and unpainted, as a resin detail set. The base model, glue and paints are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
