Eduard 1:48 P-61 Black Widow painting masks are precisely die-cut self-adhesive masks for the easy painting of the extensive glazing of a model of the American P-61 Black Widow night fighter.
Responsibility details are not available.
This Eduard set of painting masks is intended for a plastic model of the American Northrop P-61 Black Widow night fighter in 1:48 scale. The masks of thin kabuki tape fit the divided glazing of the cockpit and other areas exactly, which with such an extensive cockpit speeds the painting up and makes it markedly more accurate. It is an accessory for painting, not the model itself.
The Northrop P-61 Black Widow was an American twin-engine, twin-boom night fighter of the Second World War and the first aircraft of the US Army Air Forces designed from the outset for night combat with an onboard radar. Thanks to it, it could find and attack enemy aircraft in the dark. It was used in the Pacific and in Europe and was among the largest fighters of its day.
Transfer the masks with tweezers onto clean glazing and press them carefully against the edges of the frames. With such an extensive cockpit, work in sections. Spray the paint in thin coats with an airbrush and take the masks off carefully once it has dried.
These are painting masks, not a model. The kit itself, paints and glue are not included in the package.
