This set in finely cast resin replaces the engine cowlings of the American twin-engine night fighter Northrop P-61 Black Widow in the A and B versions, in 1:48 scale. The word correct in the name suggests that the resin parts fix the shape of the engine nacelles, which in plastic from the box tends to be inaccurate. The set is intended for more advanced modelers with resin experience.
On a twin-engine aircraft the engine nacelles are a large and visually important area; an inaccurate shape upsets the whole silhouette. The P-61 was the first American aircraft designed from the outset as a radar-equipped night fighter with a twin-boom tail. Faithful resin cowlings correct the profile of the nacelles and, once painted, give the model the right proportions.
