The 1:48 Percival Proctor masking set (outside and inside) from Montex is an accessory for a plastic kit you already own, not a model. It deals with spraying the densely framed cockpit glazing from outside and from inside.
Responsibility details are not available.
Self-adhesive masking templates for spraying the cockpit frames in 1:48 scale. It is not a kit, but an accessory for a model that the modeler buys separately. According to the name, the set covers the glazing from the outside and from the inside. On an aircraft with many small window panes this is the quickest route to even framing, which is very hard to achieve with a brush.
The Percival Proctor was a British single-engine low-wing monoplane derived from a prewar touring aircraft. It was built with a wooden fuselage and fixed landing gear, and was used mainly as a liaison machine and as a flying classroom for training radio operators. The cockpit is typified by extensive glazing divided into a row of small panes, which makes it a rewarding model but a demanding one to mask.
On densely divided glazing, plan the order in advance: start with the largest panes and work toward the smallest, so that you do not lose your place on the sheet. Small masks are easier to grip with tweezers with rounded tips; pointed tweezers easily pierce the film. Once all the pieces are on, run a wooden stick along the edges. It is also worth spraying the finished masking with a thin coat of gloss clear, which seals the edges, and only then applying the covering paint.
The set is an accessory for a plastic kit. The kit, paints and glue are not included in the package.
