The Eduard PSP Display — perforated steel airfield planking 1:48 is a diorama base that reproduces the surface of field airstrips laid with steel matting, suitable as a display base for an aircraft model.
Responsibility details are not available.
A modeling diorama base in 1:48 scale from the Czech manufacturer Eduard. It faithfully reproduces the surface of airfield areas laid with perforated steel planking, known as PSP. These interlocking steel mats covered the temporary runways, taxiways and hardstands of Allied field airstrips during the Second World War and the Korean War. The base carries the relief of the individual panels and holes and serves as a ready display base for an aircraft model or as the foundation of a diorama.
It will be appreciated by aircraft builders who want to display a model strikingly on a period-appropriate surface, and by diorama makers looking for a realistic base for airfield areas. Being in 1:48 scale, it suits fighters and smaller aircraft in that scale.
This is a diorama base, not an aircraft kit. The model, glue and paints are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
