PZL-23 Karas 1:48 is a photo-etched detail set from Eduard for raising the fidelity of the model of the Polish light bomber. It is not a model of the aircraft but an accessory for a kit.
Responsibility details are not available.
A photo-etched detail set from the Czech manufacturer Eduard for the model of the Polish PZL-23 Karas light bomber and reconnaissance aircraft in 1:48 scale. The set contains fine photo-etched parts that replace and complete the less distinct plastic parts of a kit and noticeably raise the fidelity of the finished model. It is not a model of its own but an accessory for a matching kit of this aircraft.
The PZL-23 Karas was an all-metal Polish light bomber and reconnaissance aircraft of the 1930s, designed by PZL in Warsaw. It was powered by a radial engine and at the time of the attack on Poland in September 1939 it formed the backbone of the Polish bomber and reconnaissance force. The Karas also went down in history for one of the first raids on a target on German soil.
Separate the individual parts carefully from the fret with a sharp knife on a hard surface and clean up the cut edges. Make the bends over a bending tool or a metal ruler so that they are clean and accurate. They are bonded with super glue (cyanoacrylate); ordinary plastic cement will not hold photo-etched parts. We recommend painting the parts before fitting them and blending them with the model. The set is meant for more advanced modelers used to working with small photo-etched components.
This is not a model of the aircraft but a photo-etched detail set for a matching kit in that scale. It is supplied unassembled and unpainted; glue, paints and the kit itself are not included in the package.
