Responsibility details are not available.
A small photo-etched set from the Czech brand Eduard in 1:48 scale containing the pilot's seat belts for kits of the Polish PZL P.11c fighter. According to the name the belts are made in steel, which against brass has better springiness and holds its shaping better. It is not a model of an aircraft, but an accessory for the cockpit of a kit you already own.
The PZL P.11 was a Polish all-metal high-wing fighter of the 1930s with a gull wing of the so-called Polish type, a fixed undercarriage and a radial engine. The P.11c version was the most widespread variant. The cockpit was open, so the pilot's seat and his harness are completely exposed on the finished model — and it is on aircraft like these that replacing plastic or painted belts with etched ones tells most.
Etched steel sheet holds its shape better than brass, so the belts can be bent convincingly and left hanging loose over the edge of the seat or across the cockpit floor. Separate the parts with a scalpel on a hard surface, shape them around the round handle of a brush and glue them with a tiny drop of cyanoacrylate. If the belts come pre-painted, do not spray them over with an opaque color — it is enough to bring out the stitching with a dark wash and seal the whole with matte varnish. The belts are among the first parts a viewer sees in an open cockpit, so it pays to give them time.
This is not a model kit, but an add-on set. The base model, glue and paints are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
